The mechanized revolution that forever changed farming in America began in the 1850s with the development of new and exciting machines that made the back-breaking work of farming easier. The BIG 4 is an important piece of this area's farming history. It was the goal of the Monticello Community Foundation and a group of dedicated tractor enthusiasts to restore and maintain the Big 4 and they did. The foundation also raised funds to build a suitable home for the tractor and other antique farm equipment, which is located next to the Frontier Museum. It is showcased all year long and is still operational today. Once a year the tractor can be seen in use for the 24th of July parade.
