To appear by mail, fill in your correct address and signature below and include your fine, along with a copy of your citation. Make your check or money order payable to: SAN JUAN COUNTY JUSTICE COURT. Cash is sent at your own risk.

The Defendant has 21 days from the date of the citation to make a court appearance. You make an appearance by mail. If no appearance is made and no bail/fine is received in Court within 21 days, this Court will send a delinquent notice which adds $50.00 to the address on the citation. If the matter is still not taken care of by the date given on the notice a WARRANT for your arrest will be issued. Additional warrant fees will be assessed in the amount of $75.00, making a total bail increase of $125.00.
Also, a notice of Failure to Appear will be sent to the Driver License Division of your home state and your driver's license will be SUSPENDED. If the address on your license is not current, the court cannot guarantee you will receive a courtesy notice. Your canceled check will serve as your receipt unless otherwise requested.
