The mechanized revolution that forever changed farming in American began in the 1850's with the development of new and exciting machines that made the back breaking work of farming easier. The BIG 4 is an important piece of this area's farming history. It was the goal of the Monticello Community Foundation and a group of dedicated tractor enthusiast to restore and maintain the Big 4 and they did. The foundation also raised funds to build a suitable home for the tractor and other antique farm equipment, which is located next to the Frontier Museum. It is showcased all year long and is still operational today. Once a year the tractor can be seen in use for the 24th of July parade.
